The central painting depicts Mt. Zion as the focus as seen from the southern neighborhood of Abu Tor in Jerusalem. The Temple Mount is seen in the background. The horizontal panel at the bottom is of Rachel’s Tomb. Surrounding this, several layers of decorative borders frame the image. In the four corners of the design are four of the Seven Species: pomegranates, wheat, dates and figs.
