The painting shows the beautiful scenic landscape of the Haifa bay, as seen from the heights of the Carmel mountain range, which tower over the bay. The three trees represent the bride and groom, and the Divine presence that resides with them. The verse from the Song of Songs, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” crowns the ketubah at the top.
